Getting Started with E-Porikkha

A complete walkthrough for new users — create your school, set up a batch, upload your first paper, and get grades in under 10 minutes.

E-Porikkha is an AI-powered exam grading platform built for Bangladeshi educators. It grades Bengali and English written answers against a teacher-defined answer key, returning per-question scores and a full review trail — in seconds.

Step 1 — Create your school workspace

After signing up, you'll be prompted to create a school workspace. Give it your institution's name. You're automatically assigned the Owner role, which lets you invite teachers and manage billing.

You can create multiple workspaces (e.g., one per campus) and switch between them from the sidebar at any time.

Step 2 — Create a batch

Go to Batches → New Batch. Enter the exam name, subject, class/year, and the total marks. Batches group papers from the same exam together so you can compare results and export them at once.

Step 3 — Set up your answer key

Open the batch's Question Paper / Answer Key editor. Paste the model answers as text, upload a scan or document and let the AI structure it into questions automatically, or type each question and answer in by hand. Review each question, adjust the marks, and save.

Step 4 — Upload a student paper

Click Upload Paper. You can either paste the student's answers as text (skips OCR entirely) or upload a scanned image/PDF — our OCR engine will extract the text automatically for a small per-page cost.

Once the text is ready, click Upload & Grade. The AI compares each answer to the key and returns scores within a few seconds.

Step 5 — Review and approve

The grading studio shows each question with the student's answer, the model answer, the awarded marks, and an AI rationale. You can edit any mark, flag answers for re-check, or use the AI copilot to request a regrade with justification.

Approve the paper when you're satisfied. Results flow immediately to the Results page, where you can preview and print a grade sheet, or share a private results link with the student.
